There are creases in the leather from the folds. These aren't deep creases that are embedded in though.
I would suggest, once you've cut the size fabric you wish to use, pop it in a dryer for only 1 minute, hang it up straight away.
The creases/folds should drop out easily.
You can iron this type of fabric, but indirect heat is the best way forward, with
